My Favorite Media Source

Considering my next b log is about my actual favorite media source of the ones I have been following this semester, this post is about my second favorite.

That pick easily goes to my friend Stelios Kroudis and his work on Kroudis Designs. I have known Kroudis for most of my life and he has always been described as creative and artistic. To be brutally honest, the kid cannot draw or create a physical piece of art to save his life, but he certainly can enter photoshop illustrator or premier and put together an excellent graphic or video. With the power of digital tools he can make art.

Kroudis is always creating something new, he always has his head in his computer working on a new project. When he does post something new, you know its going to be high quality.

His work is typically gloomy and dark, not in an emotional way or a sad way but in a literal way, he likes to bring the saturation down on his projects and use flat colors. His photoshop works are typically collages, his video works are usually slowed edits of a certain sport like lacrosse. everything he does is in focus, he refuses to work with any graphic or video that is the slightest bit out of focus. The audio on his projects are tailored and fitting, he does come from a family of musicians so I would expect nothing less from him than good audio. Kroudis is a stickler for the projects that he puts out, and it will not be released unless he perceives it as good.

seeing his work does inspire me to create better work. As one of his bestfriends, I like to be able to compare myself to him and even one up him if possible. If I look at his work and make it a standard for work that I want to make, then bad work would not be produced.
